Since 1949 sports fans across eastern Kentucky and the tri-state area have come to depend on the stations of EKB. Anchored by sports director Andrew Joyce, regular sportscasts and updates are aired throughout the day to keep up with the latest news in the world of sports. Andrew also leads a fifteen-man team of play-by-play announcers and color commentators through a full schedule of regular season high school sports as well as district, regional and state high school football, basketball, and baseball tournaments.

East Kentucky Broadcasting is an affiliate of the University of Kentucky Sports Network and follows the Wildcats in both football and basketball throughout the year. Wildcat fans tune in to WDHR for UK basketball, “Coach John Callipari Call-In Show”, and UK Football.

Z-Rock 107.5 is the exclusive home of the University of Pikeville Bears Football and Men’s Basketball Program.

For the many stock car race fans in the area, WDHR is an affiliate of the Motor Racing Network and broadcasts both NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series races. The race schedule is supplemented with “NASCAR Live”, a one hour call-in program broadcast each Tuesday night, “NASCAR Today” a five minute daily news update each weekday afternoon, and “Ned Jarrett’s World of Racing” each weekday morning.

The Cincinnati Reds can be found on the Oldies Radio Network all season long.
