WXCC-FM is Coal Country Radio with a strong tradition of local community service earned since it began broadcasting October 27, 1978. WXCC, 96.5 is a 100,000-watt station broadcasting Mainstream Country with a dash of Southern Rock 24hours a day, seven days a week with primary and secondary coverage areas encompassing Southern West Virginia, Eastern Kentucky, Southwestern Virginia, parts of Tennessee and Southern Ohio. WXCC is the home of The Marshall Thundering Herd football and basketball and the Cincinnati Reds.
